I apologize if I am not very good at this blog thing. This is the first time I have ever done one of these. When I started this last night/really early this morning I forgot some important things. At least important to me. I forgot to mention some of the symptoms and the reasons why I was being referred to a rheumatologist. So here are some of the symptoms that I have had throughout the last few years:
- I have been in a fog
- Have had no energy
- Have had dizzy spells
- Have had sudden urges to go to the bathroom right after eating
- Have redness in my face
- Feet get hot around 7:00 at night and my toes swell and look red for about an hour, then get cold again
- Get cold really easily
- Eyes hurt
- Headaches
And this just names a few, and I never really put these any of these together to be any thing significant. I contributed each and every one to something else. But I started keeping a list of these symptoms when they happened and showed them to my doctor. That’s when she said, “we need to do an arthritis test on you.”
So blood was drawn, and the results: positive for ANAs – Antinuclear antibodies.
